WHAT DO YOU DO?

What do you do?

By Teresa Moment-Jordan

What do you do when you have fought for everyone else and nobody’s fighting for you?

What do you do when it seems like all your prayers are coming back, return to sender?

What do you do when it gets too much to bear and your prayers are going unanswered and all your suppose to be loved ones all of a sudden seem lost, no where to be found?

What do you do when everyone and everything seems to be against you?

What do you do?

You hear, pray. You hear, if you push (pray until something happens) things will get better. You hear a million or more times, I got you, don’t worry about a thing, just call me. But as soon as you reach out for help, no one is answering their phones and if you stop by their house and you know that they’re at home, and they don’t come to the door, what do you do?

What do you do when you think that you’re doing all the right things and failure makes you feel like all the right things are the wrong things?

What do you do when you come to the realization that your faith in God is being tested? What do you do? You know that you cannot get through this by yourself and right now it’s like God isn’t there, what do you do?

You’re doing all you know how to do, like: praying, studying God’s Word, praising The Lord, going work, going to church, sharing this great gospel about Jesus Christ with others and you just feel like, why?!!! Really, why Lord? Is all this for nothing? Am I fooling myself with believing that You are going to bring me out of this, well am I? Then, because you know God’s Word, you’re crying profusely and saying Father God, please forgive me for doubting you and not trusting in your timing to bring me out of this, in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

What do you do when you have fallen into the slavery of your flesh? What do you do when you have walked into your life with your eyes open but closed? How do you see that you’re going to get through this, when you have forgotten Hebrews 11:1? What do you do when you can’t seem to find your own faith while you’re busy trying to build up someone else’s faith? Real talk, what do you do?

People will say, well they brought this on themselves but in all truth, they don’t even know where they have gone wrong. People will fall asleep and wake up in an never ending nightmare and instead of someone coming to their aid, they criticize them and beat them down with their negative words, thoughts and actions. When you are going through and you can’t seem to find an answer, what do you do?

Take it to God they say. Lay on the altar they say. Repent for your sins they said. Ask and it will be given they said. Wait on The Lord they said. Talk about with your family they say. Talk to the pastor they say. Talk to the people you owe they said. Find yourself a better job they said. Move they said. They said all that and you’ve done it all and you’re still closer to being a day pass busted and disgusted. What do you do?

You’re losing and there seems to be no solution ahead of you. Everything around you is being taken away and you’re still trying to get a prayer through but it’s like your prayers aren’t going through, what do you do?

When you have had everybody’s back and you can’t get just one of those people to say for real, sis/bro, I got you. What do you do when you’re in something bigger than your faith?

We say to other people how good our God is and we testify about how He brought us through some very trying times. And then, we come face to face with one of the greatest test of our lives and we are sitting around questioning our own relationship with God, we’re questioning our own faith in Christ Jesus now. What do you do?

What do you do when it’s your faith that needs building up? What do you do when it’s your faith being tested now on a new level? What do you do?

What do you do when you are a minister and you have no one to turn to, no where to go and you’re ashamed and afraid to let those same people you’re ministering to, know that your own life is being ripped apart? What do you do?

What do you do when it’s you?
